Links to Other Surveys

Hey everyone!

Some of you have asked us for all 4 links to the short surveys at once, so here they are. By topic:

Time & Moderation in Blogging: Here

The Role of Bloggers in Crises/Issues-based Influence: Here

Bloggers' Thoughts on the Financial Crisis: Here

...and the link to our first survey, Blogger Profiles, is in the post below, or Here.

These links do not open in new windows.

We hope this increases the convenience for everyone! These are all extremely short surveys (5 questions each) that will only take a few minutes of your time :)

Thanks for being with us on this project, guys, we really appreciate all the help and advice!

Warm regards,
Elizabeth

A Brief Introduction

Hi everyone!

Most of you would probably be here from the email that was sent out earlier. We would like to warmly thank each of you for taking the time out to come to this blog to learn more about what we are doing. We apologise for the scanty content of the email but we didnt want to send you a long lengthy email either.

So just a brief introduction of the group

We are a group made up of 4 girls from SMU, 2 of us are exchange students from Emory University and 2 of us are full time students in SMU. Our names are Blair, Danielle, Elizabeth and Samantha. We are all currently studying COMM 215: Digital Media across Asia at SMU taught by Professor Michael Netzley. COMM 215 examines social media as both a social phenomenon and a tool to corporate communication and public relations professionals.

What we will be doing

We will be working in conjunction with Text100 to help them understand APAC bloggers better. We will be doing this via a series of 4 surveys. Each survey will have a different topic and there will 5 questions in each. Each survey should only take 5 mins to answer. The topics that we and T100 are looking at are:
  1. Blogger Profiles - this survey will be 10 questions long. We are basically asking about your demographics.
  2. Bloggers and Crisis/Issue based Influence - the role of bloggers in citizen journalism, public responsibility etc
  3. The impact of the financial crisis on bloggers
  4. Time bloggers spend on moderating, writing and researching.
Professor Netzley has very kindly agreed to donate $1 for every completed survey. As mentioned in the email, the money will be used to sponsor social media events such as Social Media Breakfast and the like. The results will be announced via a press release from T100. However, we will release the results to you prior to the press release if you so wish. If you wish to be credited, please let us know and we will inform Text100 :).

If you have any further queries, please leave a comment or you can email me danielle.2005@business.smu.edu.sg and I will get back to you :). So on behalf on our group, I would like to thank you for expressing an interest in us and I hope you will participate in our project.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Danielle
